Technical Specs

The Biotechnology used by Biosan® consists of a method for increasing the concentration of colonies of microorganisms formed in a continuous and/or discontinuous flow, which uses biomass as a means of removing organic and inorganic contaminants from the effluent, in which an adsorption stage is followed by a biological degradation phase through the anaerobic digestion of properly selected and biotechnologically activated microorganisms, leaving them extremely capable of absorbing and adsorbing the compounds that make up the contaminant fraction of effluents or sewage, such as: organic matter (BOD, COD, total solids), nutrients (phosphorus and nitrogen).

For this purpose, the Biosan® system uses reactors in which the support medium itself acts as a piston flow for microbial development inside, serving to develop a biofilm in which the contaminating compounds are adsorbed by the internal wall of the support medium and thus provide a supply for cellular digestion, which takes place inside the support parts. There are a total of 4 treatment stages, which at the end of the filtering and purification process generate standard class c2 water at the outlet (equivalent to that of rivers and rain).
